An emblematic place built in the 13th century on the foundations of an 11th century fortress, Ratilly stands with its medieval architecture in the heart of the Puisaye region, in an unspoilt countryside.
During the Wars of Religion, Ratilly sheltered the Huguenots and welcomed the Jansenists who were hunted down at the beginning of the 18th century.
In 1951, Jeanne and Norbert Pierlot set up their pottery workshop and, through the encounters they developed, made Ratilly one of the very first private art centres in France, a place of exchange and artistic expression.
Today, the Pierlot family continues their work and invites you to discover Ratilly through the seasons.
