Joan of Arc House
A haven of silence and charm, your gateway to Guédelon, Saint Fargeau, and the cultural and natural treasures of the Puisaye.
The house belongs to the memory of the village.
It was once home to the famous Joan of Arc, and later to Mother Boutevilain, a coal and candy merchant. Carefully restored by Noémi Brunet, the Maison Jeanne d'Arc welcomes you to share a convivial, timeless moment under the mocking eye of its big chocolate Labrador named Henri.
Welcome to our guest rooms!
Just 100m from the Château de Saint Fargeau, and close to Guédelon, FIVE very spacious guest rooms and suites, a delightful curé garden and an excellent, generous breakfast await you.
Nestled in the heart of the delightful historic village of Saint-Fargeau, at the foot of the listed 15th-century church and surrounded by the peaceful gardens of the neighborhood, Maison Jeanne d'Arc is a comfortable, discreet and refined home. Photos, books and memorabilia enhance the charm and character of this address.
You'll be struck by the absolute silence, barely disturbed by the bells of the mastiffs. Excellent, generous home-cooked breakfast served in the dining room or sometimes in the garden.
Jacques Cœur Room
Located on the second floor, your magnificent, classically-decorated guest room for two is spacious, with a breathtaking view through two large windows that open to the south, over the village's old roofs, a cascade of gardens, and the "Jacques Coeur" tower of the Château de Saint-Fargeau.
Suite Rose Calamine
Located on the second floor, this beautiful bedroom with four-poster bed is accessed from the landing via a luminous hallway that leads to a first bedroom with twin 90 x 200 beds.
This communicates with a very large four-poster bedroom that opens to the south through two large windows, with a view of the listed 15th-century church and the trees of the Château de Saint-Fargeau park.
Josephine room
Located upstairs in the small outbuildings at the end of the garden, the Josephine guest room is a small suite accessed by a charming old-fashioned staircase.
The large bedroom is bright, refined and very comfortably furnished.
Joan of Arc Suite
Located on the ground floor of the house, separate from the main house, this warm family suite is accessed directly from the covered passageway. The entrance hall leads to the two bedrooms and pretty bathroom.
The largest room opens south via 3 large windows onto the listed 15th-century church square.
Mouki Mini Suite Bleue
On the second floor, a pretty little bedroom (17 m2) painted in English blue is equipped with a 90 x 200 single bed, ideal for a child.
Opening to the south, it is the antechamber to the large double bedroom, whose ancient half-timbered walls are lime-rendered. It is equipped with a 180 x 200 bed, which can be split into two on request.
Suite aux Losanges
Located in the Maison des Charmilles, which adjoins the Maison Jeanne d'Arc, this family suite comprises two rather atypical bedrooms, one on the ground floor, the other on the mezzanine, and a bathroom. It sleeps 4. Access is via the small garden on the church square. On the first floor, there's a large common room where you can enjoy breakfast together.
